CHRISTMAS BALL IN THE PALACE
Every December the Main Hall of the University opens its doors for the Christmas Ball, which is attended by students, alumni, teachers, student corporations, as well as guests from all over Latvia.
During this prestigious Ball in the Jelgava Palace the past and the present are solemnly and reverently intertwined, and the guests of the ball, surrounded by candlelight and the mysterious romance of the Palace, become courtiers - wonderfully radiant princesses and valiant princes. About a thousand guests enjoy bright festive feelings at the Ball.
On this night in the Jelgava Palace the past merges with the present, the guests of the Ball can gain strength and inspiration for tomorrow. The largest baroque palace in the Baltics blooms in unique splendor for one wonderful night.
