WORKSHOP ON DECORATION OF GINGERBREAD

Young residents of Jelgava as well as guests of the town are invited to dream of a fairytales by "reviving" ginger trees, little men and horses by decorating with glaze, balls and stars. Preschool educational institutions, primary school groups, as well as adults are invited to participate in creative workshops on the design of gingerbreads.

In addition, as workshops are held in such an ancient and aristocratic place as the Jelgava Palace, the students of the University are not allowed to conduct workshops – that is entrusted to the ladies of the court and the owner of the castle - Duchess Dorothea. She will show you not only - how to decorate gingerbread, but she also will help to write special letters to Santa Claus. The program also includes a tour around the Jelgava Palace.

Workshop on decoration of gingerbread:

  • workshop for a group of tourists from 20 people - 6 euros per person.

Each year there are also a Christmas letters’ workshops as well as the opportunity to enjoy hot chocolate is provided.
