WEDDING CEREMONY IN THE HEART OF JELGAVA

We decided to hold our wedding ceremony in the Jelgava Palace as my husband and I are both from Jelgava and, in our opinion, this place was the most suitable for our wonderful event. The Palace, located between two rivers, in the very heart of Jelgava, is the most royal place in our city – the most beautiful!

The day of August 11, 2017 turned out to be beautiful and sunny. Our wedding car was a beautiful white Bentley, in which we were allowed to enter the courtyard of the Palace. Before the ceremony, we drove through the central gate into the Palace courtyard, and together with my husband (then the groom) went to the Silver Hall, where the wedding ceremony was taking place. After the ceremony, we planned to dance the first waltz there, but we got so excited that the dance was cancelled, but glasses of champagne in honour of our new marriage were raised along with all the guests.

Already as a wife and husband we had reception at the Duchess Dorothea, who gave some advice on love, and under her leadership we wrote a letter, which was sealed with the coat of arms of the Palace. Then the Duchess escorted us to the courtyard of the Palace, where we released doves of love into the sky. Both pigeons, naturally, flew away directly to the sun. Then we took pictures with family and friends right in the Palace courtyard. A little later we walked through the Palace park.

The place is excellent, the proposed wedding program is very interesting and romantic. The perfect place for such a special day!
